sorry for not answering sooner! I had some problems getting on my computer.Something was wrong with the internet and then I went out of town. 1. I think the narrator is lonely and likes to read what other people have written. Almost like diaries. However, I don't understand why he took three. If they all say the same thing why take three? 2. I looked through the story but didn't find a metaphor. sorry if there was one and didn't find it. 3. I think the story is in first person. 4. The Chapel is a sort of big empty room that is only used once a year. Typically small, warm and comfortable rooms are more popular compared to drafty empty rooms. 5. vestment = a garment especialley a robe worn to show rank or office. incense= a pleasant smell.
