Hi group 3 the due date for this assignment is on 12/5 (next Wednesday) I can not post the questions tonight i will post them by saturday at noon. I also wanted to know if anyone knows if I have to answer my own questions too. If anything is wrong with this post or anything tell me at break (im usually at the lunch tables) k i guess thats all :p
hi everyone, I'm sorry that I didn't post the questions yesterday I was gone so here are the questions:
1. How come everyone is equal? 2. Who do you think the H-G men are? 3. When George refers to the Dark Ages on page 4 what does he mean by the dark ages? 4. How many pounds did Harrisons equipment weigh? 5. Why did Harrison have to wear a red nose, cover his even, white teeth, and shave his eyebrows off? 6. Find a simile or metaphor in the story. 7. Would you prefer everyone equal or everyone different and why?
1. Everybody is equal because the law wants everyone to be the same. They want no fighting or competition.
2. The H-G men are like police...they enforce the law.
3. He referred to the Dark Ages as today, when all people were different.
4. Harrison's equipment weight was not mentioned. It said that his harness could hold up to five thousand pounds.
5. Harrison had to wear a red nose, a cover over his teeth, and he had to shave off his eyebrows because those parts of him were perfect, and the law wants him to be equal with everybody else.
6. Page 2...3rd paragraphs..."His thoughts fled like bandits from a burglar alarm."
7. I would want everyone to be equal because without being smarter or stronger, nothing new would be invented, and nothing new will happen
Who's the third group member that still hasn't replied? Let me know so that I can get them going. The next leader can go ahead and assign the next reading. :)
Sorry guys I have tooken so long to anser the questions it was because haven't had the chance to do it . 1.Everyone is equal because of the law or admenments made it so that everybodycould be equal and no contentions. 2.I think the H-G men are the security men 3.I think he means as the dark ages as everybody competing against each other. 4.Harrison's equipment ways 3oo pouds all together. 5.Harrison had to wear the red nose,shave his eyebrows,and cover his even white teeth because of his good looks. 6.His thoughts fled in panic,like bandits from a burgular alarm. 7. I would prefer everyone different because I like copetition and I would'nt like wearing handicap gadgets on me.
